The SMR-334 is a VCO transceiver working in the 24GHz frequency band. As FMCW radar module, it captures speed, direction of moving objects as well as their distance. It also recognises the presence of stationary objects. The product is especially designed for motion detector applications in the field of home & building automation and security technology. The small design enables the product to fit in almost every device. It even can be placed behind light switches. The SMR-334 will be delivered directly on tape for mounting within a standard SMT. The radar sensor also comes with a low duty-cycle pulse mode to fit in low-power applications. The antenna design of the SMR-334 has a narrow field of view.
InnoSenTs SMR-Series includes four product variants.
The SMR-334 and -314 are FMCW radar modules and detect not only moving, but also stationary objects. Therefore, these products capture more objects information than the SMR-333 and -313, which are CW radar variants. The SMR-334 and -314 differ in their antenna pattern by the same interface. The SMR series does not include signal processing.
