Living with less for a good cause

Donnersdorf (Germany), 16/12/2021. This year, once again, InnoSenT GmbH from Donnersdorf is making a donation to a regional charity at the end of the year. As a tradition, the radar equipment company does not offer its business partners promotional gifts, instead using the saved funds to help support charitable associations or projects. In 2021, the donation is going to Station Regenbogen, run by the association Elterninitiative leukämie- und tumorkranker Kinder Würzburg e.V. (Würzburg Parents’ Initiative for Children with Leukaemia and Tumours).

Vote on the charity to benefit

The decision as to who would benefit from this year’s funding was made democratically by the employees of InnoSenT GmbH. In a first step, everyone had the opportunity to pick social projects and associations from the region for the campaign ‘Beyond Gifts: Donate Instead’. The employees then voted for the personal favourite among all the suggestions, and the project with the most votes would receive the company’s Christmas donation. Most staff members picked the non-profit association Station Regenbogen, which is committed to improving care and the day-to-day life in the hospital for children with cancer. The initiative stands by patients’ and their families’ sides throughout their difficult experience and supports them actively and financially with consultation and treatment offerings. Donated funds will also help further research activities in paediatric oncology. The members of the association work every day to positively impact the intensive treatment period and the follow-up care for sick children and their families.
