Contactless and intelligent control for modern technology

Building Automation & Smart Home

Radar sensors take on many tasks for us, thus making our everyday lives easier, safer, and more efficient. They are a kind of sensory organ for objects for perceiving their surroundings. These technological assistants open up new possibilities for operating devices: contactless interaction between humans and devices. The sensors are the link for triggering or automating certain actions without contact or automating them.
Intelligent and non-contact operation maximises energy efficiency and ease of use. That is why plants and equipment in buildings are increasingly becoming sensor-controlled. Doors open by themselves, and lights go out automatically – the use of modern sensor technology boasts many advantages.
InnoSenT provides smart radar components that have more to offer for your application. With advanced technology and years of experience, the radar experts are solving the current challenges of the industry and developing reliable sensors for the technology of tomorrow.
At a glance
Radar detects the presence of objects or living beings. The technology determines data that enable persons and objects to be located. They form the basis for the automated or contact-free control of technical devices, systems, or building technology.

Depending on the technical complexity of the product, radar provides the following information:
  • speed
  • direction of movement
  • distance
  • angular position (in azimuth and elevation)
  • presence of static objects
  • detection of moved objects
  • signal strength (RCS)
THEIR ADVANTAGES

  • Easy and intuitive operation without touching
  • On-demand control for economical use
  • Hygienic advantage and little dirt due to avoidance of contact
  • Less wear and no maintenance
  • Control also possible via foot movement
  • Also works when user is wearing gloves or similar
  • Precise and reliable measurement method
  • Configuration options for adaptation to the application situation

Contactless control with radar
two functional variants:
The detection of motion and presence via radar solutions enables devices and systems to be controlled in two different ways. A function is activated without contact either through automation or by being consciously triggered.

Passive Control

By detecting movements or the presence of a person, the technology takes on day-to-day tasks. We hardly even notice this function, because we do not deliberately trigger it or specifically activate it. These applications provide users with greater convenience. Automation also boosts efficiency. Automatically, various devices control the triggering of a function as soon as we are near them.

Active Control

Radar technology allows the contactless operation of various machines and products. Deliberate interaction or targeted control can also be implemented with sensor technology. Here, the radar component takes on the function of a switch and detects the presence of persons or movements in its immediate vicinity. A person deliberately triggers an action by moving their hand in front of the sensor.

Product Highlights

InnoSenT Motion Detection Radars

These are smart radar solutions that impress through their design, functionality, and user-friendliness. The products are InnoSenT’s answer to the increasing demand for efficient sensor solutions in the fields of smart home as well as building and security technology. They stand apart through their attractive price and easy integration.
Motion Detection Radars
Easy Motion Detection
SMR-SERIES

The SMR product range is designed for easy motion detection and is aimed at customers who want to perform customer-specific adjustments and/or carry out signal processing themselves. With the SMR, InnoSenT simply supplies a radar component which outputs the direction of motion and speed. The front ends are suitable for the pick & place process of SMT production in large-scale series.

  • Determines the speed
  • No signal processing integrated
  • Application control for motion detection
Non-contact alternative to Push-Button Switches
IMD-3000

The IMD-3000 simulates the exact function of push buttons or switches. With a hand movement without direct contact, it is possible to trigger a certain action, such as switching on the light. The contactless interaction is not only modern but also more hygienic. Contact with typical sources of infection or dirty surfaces can thus be avoided.

    • Detects the presence & movement of an object immediately in front of the antenna
    • System with output of a switching signal
    • Application control for motion detection, including holding function
    Motion Sensor with Distance Measurement
    IMD-2000

The sensor not only detects movement, but also determines the distance, speed, and direction of movement of an object. It enables motion-controlled automation on demand and is used, for example, as a digital trigger for opening and closing doors. The enhanced functionality of the IMD-2000 optimises application performance by enabling more targeted and efficient control thanks to the additional data.

    • Measures speed and distance
    • Outputs information via destination list
    • Application control for motion detection
    • Delimitation of the detection results by distance
    Motion Detector offers more Functionality
    iSYS-5005

The iSYS-5005 constitutes a 3-dimensional radar solution with advanced MIMO technology for the near range. The product is aimed at the premium market and is outstandingly equipped for complex applications thanks to its extensive functions. For example, any areas can be excluded from detection, the motion behaviour can be tracked via radar tracking and the user can filter the detection results using various configuration options.

    • Outputs speed, direction of motion, distance, and angle information
    • Able to track several objects
    • Outputs an object list
    • Precise control with motion detection
    • Anonymous tracking of people and objects at near range
    • Definition of the detection results via definable zones
