The K-Band radar sensor IVS-282 enables customers to detect targets at a distance up to 400m (depending on RCS). It fits perfectly for long range traffic applications like traffic monitoring, section control or speed enforcement. The product provides high sensitivity radar detection and precise measurements. The FMCW Radar detects the presence of moving objects and delivers information like speed, distance and movement direction. Additionally, it detects all stationary targets within the field of view of the radar and provide the distance information of them.
Based on the latest MMIC technology, the IVS-282 achieves a very good signal-to-noise performance and high frequency stability to ensure accurate measurements. If it is necessary, users can adjust the frequency of the radar. InnoSenT equipped the product with a dual receiver (I/Q channel) to discriminate the movement direction. Customers also see the prescaler output as a very useful feature. This enables to read-back the current transmit frequency for frequency ramp linearization. The sensor can also be duty-cycled to meet the requirement for low-power (battery) operation.
