InnoSenTs IVS-979 radar sensor is a high sensitivity radar solution for long range traffic applications. It detects moving as well as stationary objects. Customers can extract speed and distance information from the received signals. The 24GHz radar has a focused field of view in order to concentrate on lane specific detection of vehicles. Typical applications are lane or section control, vehicle counting, speed enforcement, digital traffic signs, aerial traffic detection or traffic monitoring.
The IVS-979 enables the customer to switch between FSK and FMCW modulation, depending on the requirement of the application. Additionally, it is equipped with a dual channel receiver, a low noise RF amplifier and IF amplifiers in order to achieve the highest sensitivity and best performance within the application of the customer. Another great feature is the 1/x divider of the transmit frequency. This is useful to linearize the frequency ramp to improve distance measurement as well as compensating frequency drift over temperature.
